About
Who we are, and what we are not
Custom Furniture Adelaide is a referral service run by Loudachris Digital Marketing in Adelaide. We are not a furniture maker. We take your brief, match it to an independent Adelaide maker who builds that kind of piece, check them, and step out of the way. The makers pay us, so it is free to you.
That is the whole business model and we would rather lead with it than bury it in a footer. If you want the mechanics, how it works runs through all 6 stages. If you would rather find a maker yourself, the 9 checks we use are published in full so you can run them without us. And if you just want prices, what custom furniture costs in Adelaide has the bands.

Why this exists
The gap we saw
Search for custom furniture in Adelaide and you get 3 kinds of result. Retailers selling imported stock pieces that are neither custom nor local. Directories that sell the same enquiry to whoever pays. And a handful of genuinely good workshops, most of them 1 to 3 people, most of them too busy building to keep a website current.
Meanwhile the people commissioning a piece have no way to tell any of them apart, because furniture making is not a licensed trade in South Australia. There is no register, no licence number to check, and no minimum standard to fall back on. Anyone can call themselves a furniture maker.
This site exists to close that gap in the only honest way available: publish what is genuinely checkable, check it, and route each enquiry to a workshop that actually does that kind of work. The guides are the other half of it. Everything we use to assess a maker is written up publicly so you can do it yourself if you would rather.
The standard
What we check, and what we cannot
What we confirm before your details move:
- A current, active ABN.
- A current public liability insurance certificate, in date on the day we look at it.
- A portfolio of completed work in Adelaide, not renders and not supplier stock photography.
- References where the size of the job warrants it.
What nobody can check, and we will not claim to:
- A trade licence. Furniture making is not licensed in South Australia. Where fitted work forms part of building work, licensing may apply to the maker or their builder, and that is worth confirming with them for your specific job.
- Whether a specific piece will be built to the standard you hoped for. We can check credentials and completed work. We cannot supervise a build we are not part of.
We check at the point a real enquiry arrives rather than maintaining a roster that quietly goes stale. An insurance certificate that was current 14 months ago tells you nothing.
Being straight
The things most referral sites leave out
The photography is generated
Every image on this site is AI-generated and illustrative. None of it shows a specific customer job, and none of it is presented as one. We would rather say that plainly than caption a stock photo as a recent commission in a named suburb.
We are paid by the maker
The fee does not vary between makers, so there is nothing to gain by steering you toward one. It is also not added to your quote: the maker quotes you their price.
We have no track record to show yet
This is a new site. There are no reviews, no completed job counts and no years-in-business claim, because there are none to make. When there are, they will be real and attributed.
